Christina Espe, Executive Director
Christina grew up at Pillsbury Senior Communities as her parents Bill and Mary Spalding founded the company. She has been with the community in a professional capacity since 2011. She earned her BA from Syracuse University with a triple major and her MBA in Health Care Administration from the University of Colorado. Her background is in sales and consulting with RE/MAX International, Inc., based out of Denver, CO and a Consultant for EF Education in Boston, MA. Christina is a member of the National Society of Leadership and volunteered with the Sentinels of Freedom along with other veteran and animal welfare groups. She is fluent in Spanish having lived and worked in several different countries and loves to travel, ski and spend time with her family.
Erin Knox, Director of Sales and Marketing
Erin has been with Pillsbury Senior Communities since January 2012. Erin has a BA in Communications from the University of New Hampshire. She has lived in Vermont for over 20 years, and has worked primarily in the hospitality industry. Erin combines her previous sales, hospitality and marketing experience in her work with residents and families as well as the community. Erin lives in Essex Junction with her husband and son. She is currently the Vice Chair of the school board for Essex High School and the Center for Technology at Essex in Essex Junction. Erin is a member of the Vermont Elder Resource Group.
Liza Rixon, LPN - South Campus Nurse Administrator (Allenwood, Harborview & Pillsbury Manor South)
Liza Rixon, LPN is the Nurse Administrator of our South Campus. (Allenwood, Harborview & Pillsbury Manor South) She has worked for Pillsbury for over ten years. As an LPN with 20 years of experience caring for seniors and their families, she is well versed in the daily needs of both our supportive independent living residents and our seniors needing residential nursing care services. Liza is passionate about the community and maintaining a family feeling among the residents, their families as well as the staff and their families.
Liza is a graduate of Fanny Allen School of Practical Nursing. Her interests outside of work include being a past board member of Rock Point School in Burlington, being active in her church as well as spending time with her family doing things outdoors. Liza lives in the hills of Huntington with her husband, son and an assortment of furry friends.
Felicia Stinchfield, LPN - North Campus Nurse Administrator (Pillsbury Manor North and Gazebo Apartments)
Felicia has been employed by Pillsbury Senior Communities since October 1999. She has been an LPN for over 20 years with experience in sub-acute rehab, dementia care, and all aspects of geriatric nursing. Felicia is certified in pain management, central lines and pulmonary care. She received the VHCA certification as a Residential Care Administrator in 2010 and was awarded the Residential Care Nurse Manager of the year in 2011. Felicia moved to Vermont 20 years ago from Nashville, Tennessee. She now resides in Vergennes, Vermont with her husband and 4 children.
Sarah Holm, Director of Nursing, Homestead
Sarah received her Nursing Degree from Vermont Technical College and has been in geriatric nursing for 20 years. Sarah is a native of Franklin County and currently lives in St. Albans with her husband and son. Sarah has dedicated her career to providing quality, compassionate care to Vermont seniors!
Janelle Shew, Sales/Office Manager (Homestead)
Janelle attended the State University of New York Institution of Technology in their Business Administration Program. She has been with Pillsbury Senior Communities at Homestead in St. Albans for four years since their opening in 2012. Janelle grew up in Upstate New York and now lives in Georgia, Vermont with her husband and two dogs.
